Mumbai : In a major crackdown, Mumbai Police led by encounter specialist Daya Nayak has seized hydroponic marijuana worth ₹4 crore. The high-grade American weed was being cultivated and trafficked using advanced hydroponic techniques.
The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and recovered a large quantity of the contraband from a concealed setup.
Officials stated that the arrested suspects had been operating the racket using online platforms and courier services to supply the drug across various parts of the city.
Further investigation is underway to trace the wider network involved in the import and distribution of hydroponic cannabis.
