Mumbai : With just days left for the scheduled release of Yash Raj Films’ much-anticipated romantic drama Saiyaara, concerns are rising as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has yet to issue the film’s censor certificate. Industry insiders reveal that despite promotional activities being in full swing, the certification delay could pose last-minute challenges.
Sources close to the production house confirm that all formalities have been submitted, but the team is still awaiting the green signal from the CBFC. The film, starring fresh faces and backed by a soulful soundtrack, is one of the key releases this week.
The delay has sparked discussions within the film fraternity about procedural bottlenecks at the CBFC, especially for major banner releases. As fans eagerly await Saiyaara’s arrival in theatres this Friday, all eyes are now on the board’s next move.
