Mumbai : In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) eliminated two men accused in the firing incident outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s Bareilly residence.

The encounter took place near Tronica City police station in Ghaziabad during a joint operation by the Noida STF and Delhi Police’s Crime Branch. Both suspects sustained critical injuries in the shootout and later died in hospital.

Police revealed that the duo was linked to the Goldie Brar–Rohit Godara gang, which had claimed responsibility for the attack through social media. Investigators also suspect their involvement in other criminal activities.

From the encounter site, police recovered the Apache motorcycle used in the firing, a Zigrana pistol, a Glock pistol, and several live cartridges.

The gang had allegedly justified the firing as a warning against the “disrespect of religious figures” and threatened similar attacks on any artist, not limited to Disha Patani, if they insulted their religion.
