Uber Extends Intercity Motorhome Service To Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune After Delhi NCR Success

Mumbai : After the remarkable success of its pilot program in Delhi NCR, Uber has announced the expansion of its limited-edition Intercity Motorhomes service to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune. The innovative offering allows riders to book custom-designed caravan-style motorhomes for outstation road trips, blending the comfort of home with the convenience of app-based travel.

Bookings for Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune will open on October 13, with trips beginning October 15. The service will continue in Delhi NCR until December 31, 2025.

Introduced in August 2025, the Motorhomes campaign saw overwhelming demand during its one-month Delhi NCR pilot, achieving 100% occupancy daily. The expansion comes amid rising interest in premium and flexible long-distance road travel across India.

Each Uber Intercity Motorhome is equipped with a bed, kitchen, washroom, television, mini-refrigerator, and microwave, comfortably accommodating 4–5 passengers. A driver and helper accompany each trip to assist travelers throughout their journey.

Shiva Shailendran, Director – Consumer Growth, Uber India and South Asia, said,

> “Uber Intercity has become a preferred choice for dependable, comfortable, and easy travel between cities. The growing popularity of Intercity shows how people are embracing road travel for getaways, family visits, and business trips alike.”

The festive and winter season from October to December typically sees a surge in outstation travel, driven by holidays, weddings, and pleasant weather. Uber’s Motorhomes aim to meet this demand by offering a private, lounge-like travel experience on wheels.

As with all Uber Intercity rides, Motorhome trips can be booked in advance via Reserve, allowing users to add stops, track rides in real time, and access 24×7 live support. Due to high demand, bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

With operations now spanning over 3,000 intercity routes, Uber Intercity has become India’s largest organized outstation mobility service. The Motorhomes campaign reinforces Uber’s commitment to redefining long-distance travel with greater comfort, reliability, and flexibility.
