Mumbai : Naigaon police have registered a case against two Class 12 students for allegedly morphing a 29-year-old teacher’s photograph into a pornographic image and sharing it on Instagram.
According to police, the incident took place during a college function in Naigaon West, where the teacher was hosting the event. One of the accused reportedly clicked her picture, later superimposed her face onto a nude body, and sent it to his classmate. The second accused then uploaded the edited image on Instagram.
The obscene image soon circulated among other students and eventually reached the teacher and her relatives, causing her severe mental distress. She lodged a complaint on Wednesday, leading police to register a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act.
The investigation is ongoing to determine if more people were involved.
