Mumbai : The Maharashtra government has announced a toll waiver from August 23 to September 8, 2025, for vehicles traveling towards Konkan during Ganeshotsav. The facility will apply on the Mumbai–Goa Highway, Mumbai–Bengaluru Highway, and other PWD and MSRDC routes.
Devotees can avail this exemption through a special “Ganeshotsav 2025 – Konkan Darshan” pass, which will be issued by RTOs, police stations, and traffic departments. The pass will remain valid for both onward and return journeys.
To manage traffic, heavy vehicles like trucks and trailers will not be allowed on the Mumbai–Goa Highway during peak festive days, except those carrying essential goods such as LPG, medicines, perishable items, and oxygen cylinders.
This initiative aims to provide devotees a safe, smooth, and hassle-free journey as they travel to their hometowns for the Ganesh festival.
