Thane Water Supply to Be Disrupted for 12 Hours on June 4 Due to Maintenance Work

Thane, June 2, 2025 — The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has announced a scheduled 12-hour water supply disruption on Wednesday, June 4, to carry out essential maintenance at the Temghar Water Treatment Plant.
The water shutdown will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, impacting several key areas across the city.
Affected Areas:
•Ghodbunder Road
•Vartak Nagar
•Ritu Park
•Jail
•Gandhi Nagar
•Rustomjee
•Siddhanchal
•Samata Nagar
•Siddheshwar
•Eternity
•Johnson
•Parts of Kalwa
Reason for the Shutdown:
TMC officials stated that the maintenance is part of pre-monsoon preparedness. It includes:
•Servicing of the high-pressure substation
•Control panel repairs
•Transformer oil filtration
These technical upgrades are intended to ensure a stable and uninterrupted water supply during the upcoming monsoon season.
What Residents Should Know:
While unaffected zones will continue to receive water via alternate sources such as Shahad Temghar Water Supply Authority (STEM), areas listed may experience low water pressure for 1–2 days after restoration.
The civic body has urged residents in the affected localities to:

•Use water judiciously during the shutdown
