Thailand secured its first-ever Miss World crown as Opal Suchata Chuangsri was named Miss World 2025 at the finale in Hyderabad, India. The 21-year-old political science student from Thammasat University stood out among 108 global contestants and received the crown from Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszková.
Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje Admassu was named 1st runner-up, followed by Poland’s Maja Klajda and Martinique’s Aurélie Joachim. India’s representative, Nandini Gupta, reached the Top 20 but did not enter the Top 8.
Chuangsri’s advocacy project, “OpalForHer,” focused on breast cancer awareness and was inspired by her personal experience with a benign tumor at age 16. Her response during the final round emphasized compassion and consistency in leadership, comparing the role of Miss Asia & Oceania to nurturing a garden.
The event was hosted by Stephanie Del Valle and Sachiin Kumbhar, with judges including Sonu Sood, Sudha Reddy, Manushi Chhillar, and Rana Daggubati.
