During a multi-party parliamentary delegation visit to Cape Town, South Africa, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule made a powerful appeal for international unity in the fight against terrorism. Leading the Indian delegation, Sule condemned a recent violent incident in India that claimed 26 innocent lives, calling it a “brutal attack on the soul of India” and a crime against humanity.

Sule reaffirmed India’s enduring commitment to peace and non-violence, referencing the shared legacies of Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. She noted that the ideals of equality and harmony championed by these leaders form the cornerstone of the strong and historic bond between India and South Africa.

In meetings with South African officials, the delegation emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation on security matters and expanding bilateral relations across political, economic, cultural, and educational domains. Sule also thanked South Africa for its continued support and stressed the importance of articulating India’s stance to foster mutual understanding and counter global misinformation.

The visit aims to reinforce the strategic partnership between India and South Africa, paving the way for enhanced collaboration on key global issues such as counterterrorism, sustainable development, and international peacebuilding.
