In a symbolic ceremony held at the headquarters of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), house keys were distributed to selected eligible beneficiaries as part of the government’s ongoing housing initiatives.
On the occasion, SRA CEO Mahendra Kalyankar was felicitated with a bouquet for securing the highest marks among 95 participating corporations in the government’s 100-day campaign under the Mahayuti government.
The event also spotlighted the newly approved housing policy, which targets the construction of 35,000 homes. A significant budget of ₹70,000 crore has been allocated for the initiative, placing the SRA at the forefront of implementation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed high expectations from all stakeholders to work collectively and ensure the delivery of affordable housing to the public.
Present at the event were Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, CEO Mahendra Kalyankar, Chief Secretary of the Deputy CM’s Office Navin Sona, MLA Dilip Lande, Shiv Sena Division Head Kunal Sarmalkar, Rajiv Wajale, along with senior officials and staff of the SRA.
