Mumbai :- Lucknow-based social media influencer Asfiya Bano (22) died in a tragic accident on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway near Panvel in the early hours of August 10, 2025. She was travelling in an SUV with friends towards Lonavala when the driver lost control, crashing into a road divider.
Asfiya, seated in the rear, sustained fatal head injuries. Four others in the car, including the driver, were seriously injured and admitted to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital. Police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act.
