Mumbai : A group of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers allegedly assaulted a shopkeeper in Mumbai after he reportedly shared an objectionable post against Marathi people on social media.
The incident escalated when the MNS activists confronted the shopkeeper and forced him to publicly apologize. Reports suggest that the workers also took out a “dhind” (public parade) of the shopkeeper, making him apologize while marching through the streets.
The situation has sparked discussions around vigilantism and freedom of expression, with local police investigating the matter and ensuring law and order.
