Nagpur :- In a significant organisational move aimed at boosting its outreach in East Vidarbha, the Shiv Sena has appointed Sumukh Mishra as the Coordinator of the party’s North Indian Cell. The appointment letter was officially handed over by Shiv Sena Secretary Sanjay More, following directives from Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Known as a dynamic and outspoken leader, Mishra has been entrusted with strengthening the party’s connection with the rapidly growing North Indian community in Nagpur and nearby districts. His responsibilities include mobilising youth, women, and working-class groups while expanding the organisation’s grassroots presence.

The appointment emphasizes the promotion of Balasaheb Thackeray’s Hindutva ideology and the organisational discipline inspired by Dharmaveer Anand Dighe. Mishra has also been instructed to submit a monthly activity report to Balasaheb Bhavan in Mumbai for direct review by the central leadership.

Party insiders believe this move provides the Shiv Sena with a strong and relatable face to represent North Indian interests in the region, potentially accelerating political influence and organisational expansion.

Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Mishra thanked Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, and East Vidarbha Coordinator Kiran Pandav. He pledged to work in close coordination with Minister of State Ashish Jaiswal, MLA Narendra Bhondekar, and MLA Kripal Tumane.

“The trust placed in me will be honoured with full dedication. Balasaheb Thackeray’s principle of ‘80% social work and 20% politics’ will guide my journey. I will take the message of Hindutva to every household,” Mishra said.

The appointment has stirred political discussions in Nagpur and East Vidarbha, hinting at shifting equations and emerging regional dynamics.
