𝔹ℍ𝔸𝕐𝔸ℕ𝔻𝔸ℝ:-In a major breakthrough against human trafficking, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of Mira Bhayandar Police raided a hotel in Mira Road on July 15 and exposed an active sex trafficking racket.
The raid led to the arrest of a 27-year-old woman, identified as “Mahi” alias Khushi Ragor, who allegedly operated as a pimp, using WhatsApp to supply girls for prostitution.
Two young women, who were being forced into the sex trade, were rescued during the operation.
A case has been filed against the accused at Naya Nagar Police Station under relevant sections of the IPC and PITA Act. Further investigation is ongoing to identify other individuals involved in the network.
