Sanjay Raut Hits Back at BJP: Shiv Sena’s Legacy Can’t Be Broken

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has issued a fiery response to BJP’s Girish Mahajan, rejecting claims that the Sena is weakening. In a strongly worded statement, Raut said the Shiv Sena—founded by Balasaheb Thackeray—is not just a political party but a movement, and no one has the power to erase its legacy.

Calling Mahajan a “coward” and a “traitor to Maharashtra,” Raut alleged that he had once considered switching sides when faced with central agency probes during Uddhav Thackeray’s government. Raut also accused the BJP of using political pressure, threats, and corruption to dismantle opposition parties and engineer defections.

Despite BJP’s repeated attempts, Raut claimed, Shiv Sena (UBT) remains ideologically rooted and emotionally connected to the people. “The BJP can try all it wants, but Shiv Sena’s foundation is too strong to be shaken by political brokers,” he said, directly calling Mahajan one of them.

This exchange adds fuel to the growing political tension in Maharashtra, as both Shiv Sena (UBT) and the BJP gear up for key battles ahead. Raut’s remarks signal that the fight is not just about power—but about preserving the legacy of a party born out of pride, identity, and fierce loyalty.
