Mumbai :- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Raut blamed the BJP-led central government for its inability to prevent recurring terror incidents, despite making bold statements about national security. “Terror attacks continue under Modi’s leadership. Where is the terror-free India he promised?” Raut asked.
Turning his attention to state politics, Raut accused Deputy CM Fadnavis and the BJP of prioritizing political power plays in Maharashtra over urgent national issues. “While innocent people die in terror attacks, BJP leaders remain preoccupied with political games,” he stated.
The Pahalgam attack, which targeted a bus carrying pilgrims, has sparked nationwide outrage. Opposition parties have intensified their criticism of the Centre, demanding more decisive measures to tackle terrorism.
The BJP is yet to issue an official response to Raut’s comments.
