Matches were held twice nightly on weekdays and thrice on weekends, each lasting 22 minutes. The format included a round-robin pool stage, culminating in semi-finals, a bronze medal match, and a final.
The RPL featured a 15-day exclusive window granted by World Rugby, ensuring no other international rugby sevens tournaments occurred during this period.
