Popular Punjabi comedian and actor Jaswinder Bhalla has passed away at the age of 65. He died this morning at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, leaving fans and the Punjabi film industry in deep mourning.
Best known for his iconic role as Advocate Dhillon and his hilarious performances in the Carry On Jatta series and Chhankata comedy albums, Bhalla was a household name in Punjabi entertainment.
Beyond acting, he had an illustrious academic career. A PhD holder in Agricultural Science, he served as a professor and later as Head of the Extension Education Department at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, until his retirement in 2020.
His funeral will be held on August 23 at 12 PM at the Balongi cremation ground in Mohali, where colleagues, fans, and family are expected to gather to pay their last respects.
Jaswinder Bhalla leaves behind not only timeless comedy but also a legacy of dedication to both cinema and education.
