Fresh drone attacks launched by Pakistan on Friday targeted several areas in Punjab, including Ferozepur, Pathankot, Amritsar, and Hoshiarpur. Loud explosions were reported in Pathankot and Ferozepur districts.
Air raid sirens were sounded in Ferozepur, Pathankot, Amritsar, and Hoshiarpur districts. According to sources, three individuals sustained burn injuries and are receiving medical treatment. The Indian Army successfully intercepted most of the drones in the Ferozepur area.
In response to the escalating situation, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann convened an emergency Cabinet meeting at his residence. He assigned 10 Cabinet ministers to be present in the border areas to support and reassure residents.

Following the incidents in Ferozepur, authorities in neighboring districts urged residents to remain calm and stay indoors. An alert was also issued in areas surrounding the Chandigarh airport, including Mohali and Panchkula, warning residents about a possible air strike.

These developments come after the Indian armed forces conducted precise missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor,’ following the Pahalgam attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.
