Notorious Burglar Nabbed: Virar Crime Branch Arrests Accused in ₹7.4 Lakh Theft from Uttar Pradesh

Virar | The Crime Branch Unit-3 of the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate has arrested a notorious burglar, Mohammad Wasim Sheikh, in connection with a ₹7.4 lakh theft case in Virar.

Sheikh, a resident of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was identified using CCTV footage and advanced technical surveillance. With assistance from the Uttar Pradesh Police, he was successfully apprehended and brought into custody.

Officials revealed that Sheikh is a repeat offender with multiple criminal cases registered against him. He had also been externed from Mumbai for four years due to his criminal activities.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough for the Virar Crime Branch in tackling repeat offenders and solving high-value theft cases.
