Mumbai : The Crime Branch Unit-2 of Vasai has arrested a Nigerian national, Victor Odichinmma Onuvala, in Maharashtra’s Palghar district with narcotics worth over ₹11 crore. Onuvala, also known as Dike Raymond, is an actor who has played villainous roles in several South Indian and Bollywood films, including the recently released Salman Khan-starrer *Sikandar*.
Acting on a tip-off about suspicious activities in a third-floor flat at Mahesh Apartments in Vasai East’s Ever Shine City, a team led by Senior Inspector Sameer Ahirrao raided the premises on April 5. Assistant Police Commissioner (Crime) Mandan Ballal confirmed the seizure of 22.865 kg of MD drugs and 48 grams of cocaine, valued at approximately ₹11.58 crore.
Officials revealed that Onuvala has extensive connections in the film industry and is suspected of supplying drugs to individuals in the entertainment sector. The Crime Branch had been monitoring him for a month before finally apprehending him.
Onuvala has previously been arrested by the Azad Maidan police for drug peddling. Authorities also recovered the passport of another Nigerian national, Igwenubua Chukwebuka Chimaobi, from the scene, indicating his involvement in the case.
A Crime Branch officer stated, *”The accused has been supplying drugs in small quantities across Mumbai and South Mumbai for years. We suspect he also catered to people in the film industry.”*
Onuvala has appeared in films like *The Greatest of All Time*, Tamil movie *Good Bad Ugly*, and TV shows such as *Anupama* and *CID*. Further investigations are underway.
