Vashi, Navi Mumbai – May 29:-

In a major crackdown on unlawful nightlife operations, Navi Mumbai Police raided an illegal dance bar in Vashi late Tuesday night, rescuing 40 women and booking 46 individuals in connection with the case.

The raid targeted an establishment known as ‘The Race’, which was allegedly operating well beyond permissible hours and without the required licenses. Acting on the direct orders of Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Home Affairs, Yogesh Kadam, the operation followed multiple reports of illegal activities and exploitation at the bar.

According to officials, the scene inside the bar revealed loud music, vulgar dance performances, and women dressed in obscene attire entertaining customers—clear violations of public decency laws.

Police confirmed that among those booked were six bar waiters, along with the owner, manager, and other key staff. Charges have been filed for operating without a valid license, facilitating obscene performances, and encouraging activities that compromise the dignity and safety of women.

This raid marks a continuation of the Maharashtra government’s intensified efforts to crack down on illegal bars and immoral trafficking, especially those that exploit vulnerable women under the guise of entertainment.

Authorities have reiterated that such actions will continue in full force to preserve public order, uphold decency laws, and protect the rights and safety of women in the state.
