National Campaign “Healthy Women, Empowered Families” Launched in Mumbai, 350 Health Camps Planned

Mumbai : The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched a special nationwide campaign, “Healthy Women, Empowered Families”, being implemented from September 17 to October 2, 2025.

The campaign was inaugurated at the Rawalpada Maternity Home in Dahisar (East) under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the presence of Union Minister Piyush Goyal.

On the occasion, dignitaries including MLA Praveen Darekar, Local MLA Prakash Surve, MLA Manisha Chaudhary, BMC Commissioner and Administrator Bhushan Gagrani, Deputy Commissioner (Circle 7) Sanjay Kurhade, Deputy Commissioner (Public Health) Sharad Khade, Executive Health Officer Dr. Daksha Shah, and Assistant Commissioner (R North) Nayanish Vengurlekar were present.

As part of the campaign, 350 health camps will be organized across Mumbai between September 17 and October 2. On the first day alone, over 3,000 women benefitted, and 200 pregnant women received nutrition kits under the initiative.

The campaign emphasizes maternal health, nutrition, and family well-being, aligning with the vision of strengthening women’s healthcare at the grassroots level.
