Murdered for Love and Land: Chilling Plot Unfolds in Telangana–Andhra Pradesh

A gruesome tale of betrayal and conspiracy has emerged from the Telangana–Andhra Pradesh border, where 32-year-old land surveyor G. Tejeshwar was brutally murdered just weeks after his wedding. What began as a missing person case on June 17 has now unraveled into a disturbing saga involving an extramarital affair, land disputes, and a carefully planned murder orchestrated by the victim’s newlywed wife, her mother, and her lover.

Tejeshwar, who had married 23-year-old Aishwarya (alias Sahasra) at a temple in Beechupalli on May 18, was found dead on June 20 in a canal near Sugalimettu, in Andhra Pradesh’s Panyam mandal. His throat had been slit—a clear sign of premeditated murder.

The investigation took a sinister turn when police discovered that Aishwarya had been maintaining a relationship with a married bank manager from Kurnool—Tirumala Rao—even after her wedding. Disturbingly, both Aishwarya and her mother Sujatha were allegedly involved with the same man. Evidence showed Aishwarya had made over 2,000 calls to Rao post-marriage, raising serious red flags.

Tejeshwar was reportedly lured out under the guise of a land deal—a calculated move by the accused. His movements had been monitored using a GPS tracker secretly placed under his motorcycle. On the day of the murder, he was picked up by the conspirators, attacked with sickles and a knife, and his body was later dumped in the canal. His phone and other belongings were disposed of nearby in an attempt to mislead authorities.

By June 26, the police had arrested eight people, including Aishwarya, her mother, the alleged lover, and five other accomplices. Among the seized items were the murder vehicle (a Mahindra Marazzo), Rs. 1.2 lakh in cash, ten mobile phones, two machetes, a knife, a GPS device, and clothing purchased after the crime.

Police officials credited their breakthrough to a combination of CCTV surveillance, call data records, technical forensics, and local informant intelligence. All key suspects are now in custody and have been remanded by the court.

What began as a tragic disappearance has exposed a web of manipulation and betrayal, shaking the community’s conscience and underscoring the extremes to which human greed and passion can lead.
