Mumbai: Two female journalists from Mumbai Today were allegedly cheated by an auto-rickshaw driver while traveling from Versova Metro Station to Aaram Nagar. During the ride, they noticed the fare meter increasing at an unusually rapid rate.
Upon questioning the driver and raising objections, he got into a heated argument, forcibly took the fare amount, and fled the scene. The incident involved auto number MH 02 FB 8525.
The journalists have demanded strict action against the driver, urging the Mumbai administration to take immediate steps to ensure such fraudulent practices do not happen again. They are calling for justice and stronger oversight of auto-rickshaw operations in the city.
