Mumbai, July 22:-A major landslide struck the Khindipada area of Bhandup on Monday evening as relentless rainfall led to the collapse of a protective wall and several houses behind Omega High School.
The hill, nearly 50 feet high, had a retaining barrier that gave way after developing cracks due to heavy downpours. As a result, at least five houses tumbled down the slope.
Fortunately, all residents had been evacuated in time, and no injuries have been reported. Shocking visuals of the incident have emerged, captured by locals on mobile phones.
Authorities are assessing the damage, and further updates are awaited.
