Mumbai : A major security alert was triggered on Thursday evening after the Mumbai Police Traffic Control Room received a WhatsApp message claiming that 34 vehicles carrying ‘human bombs’ and 14 Pakistani terrorists armed with RDX were stationed across the city.
The message was immediately forwarded to the Main Control Room, prompting an urgent probe. Police have launched efforts to trace the origin of the message and verify its authenticity.
Authorities suspect the alert to be a hoax but are treating it with utmost seriousness given the nature of the threat.
