Mumbai Police Investigate Bomb Threat Amid High Alert Over Indo-Pak Tensions

Even as Mumbai remains on high alert due to heightened India-Pakistan tensions, a fresh security scare has emerged. On Monday, the Maharashtra Police control room in Colaba received a threatening email warning of possible bomb blasts within the next three days, either in the state or elsewhere in the country.

The email, reportedly sent from an account bearing the name “Mamata Borse,” has triggered immediate concern among security agencies. In response, Mumbai Police, along with other anti-terror units, have launched an investigation to track the origin and authenticity of the threat.

Sources say the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness given the current geopolitical climate. Efforts are underway to trace the sender and verify any potential links to extremist networks.
