Mumbai : A tragic incident shocked the city on Friday morning when a 24-year-old man brutally murdered his former girlfriend and later committed suicide in the Kalachowkie area.
According to police, the accused, identified as Sonu Bare, attacked his ex-girlfriend Manisha Yadav with a knife after a heated argument near Dattaram Lad Marg, Digvijay Mill. The two, who had known each other for over ten years, recently ended their relationship.
Investigators revealed that Bare had grown suspicious of Yadav’s friendship with another man on social media. Despite their breakup about ten days ago, the two decided to meet to talk things over. However, the conversation quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.
As Yadav tried to run into a nearby nursing home for help, Bare followed her and stabbed her multiple times before turning the knife on himself.
Both were rushed to hospitals — Yadav to JJ Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment, and Bare to KEM Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police stated that since both the accused and the victim are deceased, the investigation will likely be closed soon. The shocking event highlights the devastating consequences of unchecked anger, jealousy, and emotional instability.
