The raid was carried out at 4 am in Ghartanpada, Dahisar East, where the accused, Saidul Narsimha Kaveri (38), was caught red-handed mixing unsafe water into branded milk pouches.
Modus Operandi: Kaveri allegedly cut open genuine milk packets, diluted the contents with unhygienic water, and refilled them into duplicate empty pouches of popular brands.
Seizure: Police confiscated adulterated milk worth ₹29,917, 1,350 duplicate empty pouches, adulteration equipment, and a mobile phone valued at ₹10,000.
Authorities confirmed that Kaveri is a repeat offender, previously booked in 2021 for a similar offence under IPC and the Food Safety Act.
