Mumbai : Residents of Mahul Village in Chembur East are facing a worsening garbage crisis as heavy rains continue to lash the city. Heaps of untreated waste lie scattered across the area, creating unbearable stench and heightening the risk of waterborne diseases.

Locals complain that despite multiple complaints, civic authorities have failed to take action. The combination of clogged drains, waterlogging, and unmanaged garbage has turned daily life into a struggle, particularly affecting children and senior citizens.
