Mumbai – As Mumbai braces for another intense monsoon, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has unveiled a detailed Monsoon Safety Plan to ensure smooth metro operations and safeguard commuters from weather-related disruptions.
The plan includes the establishment of a 24/7 control room to monitor real-time conditions, swift-response emergency teams stationed at key metro points, and enhanced flood management systems to prevent waterlogging near tracks and stations.
These measures aim to maintain operational continuity and boost passenger confidence during one of the city’s most challenging seasons. With proactive planning and infrastructure checks already underway, MMRDA is reinforcing its commitment to safe, uninterrupted metro travel across the region.
