Massive Fire at Vashi’s Raheja Complex Claims 4 Lives, 10 Injured

Navi Mumbai, Oct 21:  A devastating fire broke out at the Raheja Complex in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, early Tuesday morning, leaving four people dead and at least ten others injured.

According to officials, the blaze started on the 10th floor of the residential building around 1:30 a.m. Firefighters from the Navi Mumbai Fire Brigade immediately rushed to the spot with multiple fire tenders and battled the flames for nearly five hours before bringing the situation under control around 6 a.m.

The injured victims were rushed to Apollo MGM Hospital in Vashi, where some are reported to be in critical condition. The deceased have yet to be officially identified.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, though officials are still determining the exact cause. Police and fire officials are currently inspecting the site to assess damage and possible safety lapses.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves across Navi Mumbai, raising fresh concerns over fire safety in high-rise buildings, particularly during the festive season.
