Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni—now known as Sadhvi Yamai Mamta Nand Giri—has opened up about her spiritual journey and longstanding affection for the Muslim community. In a recent interview, she shared, “I have a lot of love for Muslims, and they have given me a lot of love in return.”

Reflecting on her time in the film industry, Kulkarni recalled receiving an overwhelming number of fan letters from across the border. “When I was a Bollywood superstar, I used to get 50 letters a day from Pakistan,” she said, describing the warmth and admiration she received during her peak years in cinema.

She also spoke about her 25-year journey into spirituality, particularly her time spent in Dubai, which she described as a period of deep peace and love.

Kulkarni briefly held the title of Mahamandaleshwar with the Kinnar Akhara during the 2025 Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Although she initially stepped down due to controversies surrounding her past, she later resumed her spiritual role.

Her recent comments have sparked conversations about cross-border admiration, religious harmony, and the enduring cultural impact of her presence in Indian cinema.
