Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday directed that all government services offered through the Aaple Sarkar portal will now also be made available on WhatsApp to improve accessibility for citizens.

Reviewing citizen services at his official residence, Varsha, Fadnavis announced a new “ring system” at the taluka level to streamline monitoring and ensure timely delivery. He also instructed the merger of similar Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) services, reduction in paperwork, and third-party audits for quality control.

The Chief Minister further stressed the need for uniform dashboards across Zilla Parishads, Municipal Corporations, and universities. The new system will initially cover clusters of 10–12 villages per taluka, with dedicated teams managing delivery through DISH Digital Service Hubs.

Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar proposed adding an appeal mechanism and adopting a multi-model delivery system via email, portal, and WhatsApp.

The Aaple Sarkar portal currently provides 1,001 services, with 997 already live. In the last 15 days alone, 236 new services have been added, marking rapid growth in the state’s e-governance initiatives.
