Maharashtra ATS Conducts Late-Night Raids in Pune Over Suspected Radicalization

Pune: The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) launched extensive search operations across multiple locations in Pune on Thursday, following credible intelligence inputs regarding possible radicalization activities.

The operation, which began late Wednesday night, primarily focused on the Kondhwa area and extended to four police station jurisdictions in Pune city.

According to officials, the ATS is currently verifying the identities of several individuals and assessing the overall situation. Authorities also indicated that the scope of the searches could expand depending on the findings.

A heavy police deployment was observed in Kondhwa since midnight to maintain order and ensure the operation proceeded smoothly.
