Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have embraced a new chapter in their lives with the birth of their daughter, Evaarah. The couple welcomed their baby girl on March 24, and on the occasion of Mother’s Day, KL Rahul took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for Athiya, marking her first celebration as a mother.
In a touching Instagram Story, Rahul posted a photo of Athiya cradling Evaarah in her arms. Alongside the image, he wrote:
“Watching you take on motherhood with so much strength, grace and patience has made me fall in love with you even more.”
He added, “Happy 1st Mother’s Day, baby. Evaarah is so lucky to have you.”
Athiya later reposted the story on her own Instagram with a red heart emoji, acknowledging the sweet gesture.
The couple introduced Evaarah to the world in April, on KL Rahul’s birthday, by sharing the first photo of their baby girl. The image featured Rahul holding Evaarah close, while Athiya looked on affectionately. Their caption read:
“Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/इवारा ~ Gift of God.”
The name Evaarah, derived from Sanskrit, means “gift of God.” The announcement came weeks after Athiya shared the news of her daughter’s birth with a tender post featuring a painting of two swans and the message: “Blessed with a baby girl.”
Athiya and KL Rahul were married on January 23, 2023, in an intimate ceremony at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. The couple revealed they were expecting their first child in November 2024, with a post that read: “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025,” accompanied by baby feet emojis.
As they step into parenthood, the couple continues to share glimpses of their journey with fans, with heartfelt moments like these capturing the joy of their growing family.
