Jamia Halts Turkey Collaboration

News: Jamia Millia Islamia has become the latest university in India to sever academic relations with Turkish institutions. This move comes in response to recent tensions and widespread protests in India regarding Turkey’s international position, which is perceived by many as unfriendly. A notice from the university declared that “any Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Jamia Millia Islamia and any institution affiliated with the Government of the Republic of Turkey is hereby suspended with immediate effect, until further notice.” The statement also emphasized that the university “stands firmly with the Nation.”
