Soon after the Indian army announced Operation Sindoor, one of its most significant military operations in recent years, they communicated the commencement of a new operation, named Operation Keller.
According to an official statement, “On 13 May 2025, based on specific intelligence from a Rashtriya Rifles unit regarding the presence of terrorists in the general area of Shoekal Keller, Shopian, the Indian Army launched a search and destroy operation.”
The statement further clarified that during the operation, the terrorists opened heavy fire, leading to a fierce firefight, which resulted in the elimination of three hardcore terrorists.
The operation is still ongoing, and three terrorists have been neutralized so far. More details are expected to follow.
