India recently reduced tariffs on U.S. goods, including cutting the import duty on American bourbon whiskey from 150% to 100%. Additionally, in 2023, India removed retaliatory tariffs on several U.S. agricultural products after resolving WTO disputes. Ongoing negotiations could lead to further tariff cuts on U.S. farm imports and LNG. These moves are part of efforts to strengthen trade relations and target $500 billion in bilateral trade by 2030.
