Palghar, Maharashtra: In the wake of the recent Delhi explosion, security agencies have placed Vasai-Virar and the entire Palghar district on high alert. Police have ramped up security at railway stations, bus depots, and crowded public areas to prevent any untoward incident.
Dog squads have been deployed to inspect trains and passenger belongings, while police teams are conducting thorough checks of vehicles, luggage, and individuals at multiple checkpoints. Hotels, lodges, and public places are also under strict surveillance.
Trains arriving at and departing from Vasai, Virar, Nalasopara, Palghar, and Boisar stations are undergoing rigorous security screening. Although some passengers expressed inconvenience due to the detailed checks, officials reiterated that these steps are vital for public safety.
Additional police personnel have been deployed at major railway platforms and busy locations, with intensified patrolling near temples, shopping malls, and other crowded spots.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and cooperate with security measures, emphasizing that these precautions are aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring public safety across the district.
