Mumbai : Kalyan-Dombivali witnessed massive traffic snarls as ongoing road repairs, Metro construction, and heavy rains created severe congestion across key routes. Unrepaired potholes before the monsoon and simultaneous Smart City works have added to the gridlock, leaving daily commuters struggling.
Major junctions like Sahajanand Chowk, Lach Chowki, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, APMC Market, Chakinaka, Netivali Naka, Malang Road, and Poona Link Road were heavily affected, causing delays to school buses and even emergency vehicles.
Although the municipal corporation had assured pothole repairs after the rains, work has only just begun and daytime roadwork is worsening the traffic situation. Residents have demanded an urgent traffic management plan to ease the chaos.
