MUMBAI: Persistent heavy rains have disrupted normal life in Mumbai, forcing the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to declare a holiday for all schools and colleges today.
Continuous downpours since morning have resulted in severe waterlogging, traffic jams, and delays in local train services, leaving commuters stranded across the city.
The civic body has advised residents to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel as disaster management teams remain on high alert to tackle emergencies.
