The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the Konkan region and the Sahyadri ghats of Central Maharashtra for the period between August 26 and 28, anticipating a significant increase in precipitation.

The IMD’s forecast indicates that the rainfall could intensify in the coming days, calling for heightened caution from both residents and administrative bodies.
