HC Orders Demolition of Illegal 6-Storey Building, Residents Given 15 Days to Vacate

Kalyan :- The Bombay High Court has ordered the demolition of a six-storey illegally constructed building in Kalyan, directing residents to vacate the premises within 15 days. The structure, located in the Lokgram area, was reportedly built without proper permissions from the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC).
Following a petition highlighting the unauthorized nature of the construction, the court ruled in favor of its demolition to ensure public safety and uphold urban planning norms. Authorities have been instructed to carry out the eviction and razing process within the stipulated time frame.
The residents, shocked by the ruling, have sought alternative housing solutions and appealed to local authorities for support.
