In a major step to support underrepresented communities, the Haj Committee of India has introduced a no-cost residential coaching program for candidates preparing for the 2026 Civil Services Examination. The move came after an appeal by Vahid Shaikh, President of Mumbai Janseva Sangh to MP Milind Deora, who then liaised with Union Minister of minority and parliamentary affairs Kiren Rijiju. The Minority Affairs Ministry quickly facilitated the program’s rollout.
The initiative offers full coaching, materials, and housing for 100 selected aspirants at Mumbai’s Haj House. Vahid Shaikh welcomed the decision, highlighting its importance in creating equitable access to India’s top civil services.
