Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, has expressed support for India’s right to self-defense, reinforcing that terrorists should be held accountable for their actions. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Azar wrote, “Israel supports India’s right to self-defense. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent. #OperationSindoor.” His comments came in the context of India’s military operations targeting terrorist elements.

International reactions to the situation have been varied. US President Donald Trump was the first world leader to respond to India’s military actions, saying, “I guess people knew something was going to happen based on a little bit of the past. They’ve been fighting for a long time, many decades, and centuries, actually, if you think about it. I hope it ends very quickly.” Trump acknowledged the longstanding conflict between India and Pakistan and expressed hope for a swift resolution.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that he was closely monitoring the situation. In a post on X, he echoed Trump’s comments, saying, “I hope this ends quickly. I will continue to engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution.”

The UAE, on the other hand, has called for restraint from both India and Pakistan. Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the UAE, urged both nations to de-escalate tensions and avoid further escalation that could threaten regional and international peace. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding to prevent military escalation, strengthen stability in South Asia, and avoid further regional tensions.

This complex situation has drawn global attention, with calls for justice, restraint, and peaceful dialogue from various world leaders.
