Content :A 16-year-old girl tragically lost her life after falling from the eighth-floor terrace of Parichay Building in Dahisar East, Mumbai, while attempting to photograph the sunset. The incident occurred around 7 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
The victim, Jhanvi Savla, a Class 10 student awaiting her International Baccalaureate (IB) exam results, had informed her father, Samir, of her intention to go to the terrace to take sunset pictures. Shortly after, residents found her fallen and alerted her parents.
Dahisar police have ruled the death as accidental, with no signs of foul play. Senior Inspector Ashok Honmane stated, “The girl died due to an accidental fall. Our investigation does not indicate anything suspicious.” An accidental death report has been filed. Jhanvi was the only child of the Savla family. Her final rites were performed on Monday.
