Akola : A violent altercation unfolded today near Murtizapur police station in Akola district when a former provincial vice‑president of the Sambhaji Brigade, Dr. Gajanan Pardhi, was beaten by a woman accusing him of harassment and blackmail.
The woman alleges that Dr. Pardhi not only harassed her but also demanded money, threatening to spread compromising photos and video evidence online unless she complied. In retaliation, she struck him with a slipper multiple times while he stood on police premises. A clip of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Following the incident, the Sambhaji Brigade officially expelled Dr. Pardhi from the organization, citing damage to its reputation. Despite the public nature of the assault, no police complaints have yet been filed in Murtizapur or the wider Akola district.
