Mumbai : A shocking incident unfolded in Nalasopara East, near Mumbai, when two men and a traffic offender assaulted two uniformed traffic officials. The altercation was captured on video and quickly circulated on social media, prompting swift action by the local police .
According to police reports, Parth Narkar and his friend Omkar Panchal were stopped by officers Hanumant Sangle and Sheshnarayan Athre near Sitara Bakery in Vijay Nagar. The duo was cited for not wearing helmets, having an improper number plate, and failing to present a permanent driving licence . An argument ensued, and Parth summoned his father, Mangesh Narkar, who works as a BMC clean‑up marshal. The elder Narkar joined in the confrontation, escalating tensions .
The physical assault, which included Parth kicking one of the officers after he fell to the ground, was recorded by a CCTV camera and later circulated online. The officers called for backup; the three assailants were arrested and the injured traffic officials were sent for medical examination .
In court proceedings, the accused have been charged under various sections: obstructing a government servant on duty, assaulting police officers, and damaging official equipment—including the body‑worn camera used by the officers. All three have been remanded into police custody by the Vasai court .
